Andersen Geneve Rattrapante Mondiale

Rattrapante Mondiale

The world's first split-seconds worldtimer

A historic first in watchmaking: the fusion of split-seconds chronograph and worldtime complications. The Rattrapante Mondiale pairs the legendary Venus 179 movement with our own ultra-thin worldtime module, and features mesmerizing classical finishing, a hand-made platinum case and innovative design choices to ensure a diameter of just 38.8mm. Limited to eight pieces.

Venus Calibre 179

The movement inside the Rattrapante Mondiale is a New Old Stock Calibre 179, made in the 1940s by Venus. A split-seconds chronograph revered by watchmakers for its precision, tactility and spectacular beauty, it is brought to an impeccable haute horlogerie finish by our watchmakers.

A new 'AAA' designation, engraved inside the case-back, signifies the exceptional level of craftsmanship, complexity and finesse

Andersen Geneve Platinum Case

The 38.8mm platinum case is individually fabricated in our case-making atelier, with a three-part construction and softly curved lugs that are perfectly mirror-polished. The left-hand positioning of the chronograph pushers and winding crown echoes unique pieces made by Svend Andersen in the past. A second, recessed crown on the right side adjusts the city disc.

Andersen Geneve Dial

The central dial, in vertically brushed white gold, features indications that are hand-applied in blue grand feu enamel. For the silvered 24-hour ring, the day/night scale is denoted by contrasting textures rather than colour: black-polished with matte numerals for night, satin-finished for day.
