Mother-of-pearl watch dials are not so uncommon; but mother-of pearl showcased so majestically unencumbered, accentuating every unique detail and property, is almost unique.
Each dial begins as a carefully selected piece of natural nacre, individually shaped and refined to achieve the requisite thickness of 0.4mm. Framed by the 38mm case in 950 platinum, with mirror-polished bezel, the dial's striatured, ever-changing luminescence provides the perfect backdrop for the paired back time indication. The tracks of the minutes subdial and the brand logo are printed in powder blue, matching the suede strap, with a matt-textured minutes hand in silvery white.
Inside, the Frédéric Piguet 11.50 calibre is enhanced with our proprietary jumping hours module, its ultra-slim dimensions allowing the dial's organic beauty to take centre stage. The pink gold rotor bears the signature 'grains d'orge' guilloché, while a discreet 'A' emblem on the central bridge marks our craftsmanship.
